McKinney Company to Provide Great Food at Crescent Moon Lodge and Retreat Center

IMG_0066Counseling and Consulting Associates of North Texas is pleased to announce a partnership with a McKinney company that specializes in providing delectable, locally sourced group meals.

McKinney Culinary Incubator will provide chef services to guests of the Crescent Moon Lodge and Retreat Center, a 5,000-square-foot cabin on 160 wooded acres near the Texas-Oklahoma border owned by CCA North Texas founder Dr. Suzanne Hales. The Crescent Moon Lodge is beautiful, spacious lodge that is available to rent for vacations, family gatherings, group meetings, weddings, and corporate, church and nonprofit retreats.

McKinney Culinary Incubator is the brainchild of foodies Michele Stevens Bernard and David Bernard, a cooking extraordinaire.IMG_1260

Counseling and Consulting Associates of North Texas (CCA North Texas), a longtime Chamber of Commerce member, is proud to be known as the first counseling center in the McKinney community. CCA North Texas holds retreats and workshops at the Crescent Moon. The new partnership guarantees that groups at the Crescent Moon will enjoy unique, mouth-watering group meals tailored to the nutritional needs of guests.

“I’ve been a fan of Michele and David’s for a long time, and the meals that they create are simply amazing,” Dr. Hales says. “I’m excited that they’ve agreed to this partnership, and I cannot wait for our guests to enjoy many wonderful group meals to come.”

Stevens Bernard says her husband is responsible for her love of all things delicious. He spends his time creating culinary delights for family, friends and customers of his specialty food company, Game Day Foods. She is a self-professed foodie who writes for McKinneyFoodie.com, her online blog and quarterly print magazine. Together, the couple co-founded McKinney Food Incubator, which promotes and facilitates local production of specialty food products and the growth of food-related start-ups, services and businesses.

Any guest who books a stay or an event at the Crescent Moon may opt for group meals to be provided by McKinney Food Incubator and then choose from a wide array of menu possibilities. There are choices to suit every taste and every dietary need.

Dr. Hales opened the Crescent Moon Lodge and Retreat Center in 2013 to provide a unique place for fellow therapists and counselors to hold workshops, group sessions and retreats.
